North Star Coaching LLC is a virtual life, health and wellness coaching practice based in Charlotte, North Carolina, serving clients remotely. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to North Star Coaching LLC, and “you” refers to anyone visiting this website or enquiring about coaching.

This policy covers this website only. It does not cover any third-party website you reach by following a link from here.

You only share information with this site when you choose to. That happens in two places:

• The contact form. Your first and last name, email address, an optional phone number, the coaching track you are interested in, your availability preference, and whatever you write in the message field.
• The newsletter signup. Your email address only.

We ask for nothing beyond what is needed to reply to you and to arrange a discovery call.

When a form is submitted, the site records a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address and browser identifier. It is used purely to limit how many submissions can come from the same source in a short window, which is what keeps the forms from being flooded with spam.

That value cannot be reversed back into an IP address, it is never displayed anywhere, and it expires automatically. Your raw IP address is not stored in our database.

This site does not run advertising trackers and does not sell or share data with advertising networks.

What you send is used to reply to your enquiry, to arrange and deliver coaching, and — if you have subscribed — to send occasional notes about coaching and wellness. That is the whole list.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

Coaching conversations are private. Sessions are held one-to-one over Zoom, they are not recorded, and what you share is not disclosed to anyone else.

Please note that coaching is not therapy or medical care, and a coach is not bound by the same legal privilege that applies to a licensed therapist or physician. If something you disclose indicates a serious risk of harm to yourself or another person, we may need to act on it. If you are looking for clinical mental health care, we will help you find an appropriate professional.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never seen, handled or stored by North Star Coaching. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the amount and date.

Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy, which is worth reading if you would like the detail.

Contact form submissions are stored in the website so an enquiry is not lost if an email fails to deliver. Enquiries that do not become coaching engagements are removed once they are no longer needed.

Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Records relating to actual coaching engagements are kept for as long as required for legitimate business and tax purposes.

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, or to delete your information entirely. Email the address in the sidebar and we will respond within a reasonable period.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email, or by asking us directly. Unsubscribing does not affect any coaching arrangement.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or state privacy legislation. We will honour any right that applies to you.

This site uses only the cookies WordPress needs to function — for example, to keep an administrator signed in. It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

If you add an analytics tool or an embedded video in future, this section should be updated to describe it.

The site is served over an encrypted connection, forms are protected against automated abuse and cross-site request forgery, and access to stored enquiries is limited to site administrators.

No system can promise perfect security, but the measures here are proportionate to the information involved.

This website and these coaching services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and it will be removed.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page and the “last updated” date in the sidebar will change. Material changes affecting how your information is used will be communicated directly where we hold your contact details.
